Can Duphaston Be Taken For Spotting During Pregnancy, My Gynecologist Is Not Available?

Hello doctor iam 5 weeks pregnant and iam having light brown spotting, my doctor is not in town and earlier i had 2 miscarriages, my doctor gave me duphaston 10 mg twice daily in my earlier pregnency so can i take this drug duphaston till my doctor comes back i want to save my child thanks

Minimal spotting in pregnancy can be seen sometimes due to different causes.
But as you are having previous history of miscarriages better to be careful.
Yes, progesterone helps in maintenance of pregnancy and in preventing miscarriage to some extent.
So, you can use it as suggested by your doctor.
But better to go for natural micronized progesterones as per as possible.
So, discuss this with your doctor after she comes and follow her advice.
Be in rest, maintain adequate nutrition and avoid strenuous activities.
