Can 3 Months Old Contract Staph Infection From A Patient Treated With It?

Hello I have a 3 month old baby and currently breastfeeding. A friend came over tonight to visit. After a while of visiting she informed me she is currently on anti biotics and has a staph infection. Prior to this knowledge I did give her a hug, breastfed around her, ect. Are we at risk? Is there anything at this time to help prevent us from receiving the infection? I also cut myselft with a kitchen knife 10 days ago and had the stitches removed from my finger today.
