Burning pain and knot in ankle after falling from staircase. Will it take time to heal?

About 2 weeks ago I was carry a bunch of stuff up the stairs and my foot caught the step and I fell down a half dozen steps the scratches and bruises have healed and are gone. However about 3 inches up from my ankle where I hit, and there is a burning pain that hurt still. I do have a knot there still. I m hoping it just a bad sprain . should i have it checked out or will it just take time.

Hi Tenia,

I am sorry that you suffered this injury.

This looks like a muscular bruit with clot formation.

Give ice packs locally thrice daily to the area of knot.

Take Capsule neurobion forte once daily for 3 weeks after food. It will help in relieving the burning pain.

I do not think you need to get it checked. It should be gone soon.

Wish you a speedy recovery.
