Bone Scan Shows Symmetrical Abnormalities. Cause?

What possible causes could have the following results in a 3 year olds bone scan... Symmetrical abnormalities showing at L5. Everything else clean. Symptoms have been back pain around L1 for about 6 months now. MRI has been scheduled, but what possible things could cause this. X-ray , abdominal ultrasound and blood work was all clear.
