Blood Clots During Periods. Need For Alarm?

1. Hi, my name is Eunice, i am 49years old. My height is 5 feet 9, I weigh 209 lbs. I don't take any meds whatsoever, I am a vegetarian, I fall off the ban wagon now and then and would eat only fish at times. My periods usually last 3 days. Heaviest is on the 2nd day. Recently i have been experiencing heavy blot clots in my period on the 2nd day. Is that something for me to be alarmed about? The last time I had a pap-smear was about 8 years ago.
2. Lately after eating ice-cream or drinking ice water, or basically any thing cold, I would get tightness in the chest and my back [between my shoulder blades], and my brain seem to freeze, making it difficult to breath and focus. This happens at night before I go to bed, so I would sit up in bed till the tightness goes away. Last 3 days I had another attack so I put some cayenne pepper in water and drank it. After few minutes, my pain went away and i had a wonderful sleep. What do you think may be the cause and how can I prevent it?
3. My friend has fluid in his lungs. What my cause this, and how does one prevent it from happening again?

1. well getting blood clots can be one of the normal findings.. on heavy flow it can happen.. but there can be many another unusal cause for this so will suggest you to consult gynecologist..i will also suggest you to take pap smear test.. its healthy to do it once in a year just sa a routine..

3. well fluid in lungs it is called as hydrothorax.. there can be many reasons of this.. it can be infection with bacteria or it can be due to high blood pressure which can cause malfunction of heart which can cause accumalation of fluid in lung.. i will suggest to consult MD physician
