Bloating, Cramping, Lower Back Pain, Headache, Muscle Pain, Bleeding With Clots. Menopause?

I am 42 years old. I had my tubes clamped 12 years ago. Very heavy flow and discomfort started after I had my tubal ligation. My periods are normally very regular, every 24 to 26 days. My periods always start out light for a few hours to a half day then I get a VERY heavy flow for about 4 days and gradually lighter over the next 2-5 days. Periods lasting 6-9 days. I have a lot of discomfort with my periods. Severe bloating, cramping, lower back pain, headaches, muscle aches and extreme bleeding with huge clots. For the last couple of years the clotting can get so bad that my period stops for a few hours, or some times longer. When it stops like that, I get severe cramping and bloating and lower back pain until I pass a huge clot ( sometimes I can push them out by bearing down as I did in childbirth )
This month my period started on the 28th day ( late for me ) and for 2 days it was only pink discharge and now on the third day it is very light spotting. I had bloating, cramps, back pain and a headache around the 25th and 26th days and consciously thought my period was going to start anytime. I don't feel any period symptoms now but I do feel what I would describe as a heaviness in my lower abdomen but it isn't painful like cramps. I have also been getting slight dizziness & lightheaded. I am also more emotional then usual in the past few weeks.
I have 3 children, the youngest being 13. I'm wondering if I might be going through menopause? Pregnant? Just a fluke? I am wondering what the statistics are?
Thank you
