Bit By Dog. Feel Sick Everyday And Vomiting. On Doxycycl Hyc. What To Do?
I got bit by a dog about a couple weeks ago. The dog bit my nose and tore the inside of my nose and riped through to my mouth and tore up my gums. I was rushed to the hospital but since I got attacked I have been feel sick everyday and I am getting worse everyday. Im not hungry at all and whatever I drink or try to eat, I just puke it back up. I don't know what todo because I was on Doxycycl hyc 100mg and felt sick then but im done with the prescription and have been for a couple days but I seem to be feeling allot worse. I have had food poisoning and the flu before and this is a way different feeling. I can't think straight and I'm getting sick and I am extremely shakey.

I am very sorry to hear that you got bitten by a dog on the face. These kind of bites are classified as the Class III bites and are considered as emergencies. Was the dog vaccinated on schedule? I hope you have been started on anti rabies vaccination which is usually given 0,3,7,14,21 days after bite and booster after 1 month. By now, you should have completed atleast 4 doses of your vaccine. Doxycycline is not helpful in this case. Get in touch with your doctor for higher antibiotics and please complete course of vaccines as soon as possible. Rabies can be fatal if not treated in time. Thanks
