Been On PLAVIX, Head And Palms Itching Severely. When Will The Itching Stop ?

I have been on PLAVIX since August when I had a supposed' TIA. Since then I've been diagnosed with a couple of other things since then and neither are stroke related! The Plavix may be the cause of SEVER itching in random places on my body....my entire head sometimes. Other times like I have BITES. Most challenging is sever itching of my palms. I am in crisis. I have taken addorax to take the edge off....but can't take that anymore. I will be stopping the PLAVIX today!! How long will it take to get out of my system for the itching to stop. I can't function. My palms are bruised from trying to relieve the itch. Is there something I can do to make it stop asap? I'm about to go crazy!!! YYYY@YYYY HELP!!!! I can't take it anymore!! I need something NOW!

Hello.If anticoagulant was the cause of your itching,you would have hives in your body caused by allergy to the drug. ¿Got hives or only itching without hives?I treat my patients with Ebastine 10 mg twice a day when there is itching.
You should go to your doctor to review,to rule out anticoagulant allergy or other causes of itching, and prescription for the itching(Ebastine or another potent antihistamine).
