Become Intolerant To Heat After Putting Pacemaker Implant To Correct Slow Heart Beat, Sweating. Suggestions ?

I recently had a pacemaker implant to correct slow heart beat and pac - heart rate now up from 50 to 85 - also had cardio ablation therapy for A-fib. I continue with flecainide and metaprolol. I am 75 and since the implant I have become extremely intolerant to heat; only a few minutes in 85+ temp and I begin to sweat profusely and my blood pressure goes down (105/60) is typical I feel faint and have almost blacked out two or three time a day when in mild heat. any suggestions?

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Side effect of flecainide is the most likely possibility....
Recurrent arrhythmia should also be excluded because of near syncope...
Ischemia is another consideration...
Discuss with your doctor / some investigations have to be done or repeated..

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
