Pathologist and Microbiologist, Dr. M Agarwal's Response
Hello Sanjay. Welcome to HCM.
There can be many causes of back pain. These have to be ruled out depending on your age and presence of other symptoms. If the pain is just over the lower back, without any radiation to leg, it can be mechanical and needs guided physiotherapy. If there is associated tenderness (pain on pressing), or if there is radiation to leg, there has to be investigation as MRI. In any case, it is better to visit orthopedician or rheumatologist for further evaluation.
take care.
