Back Pain, Leg Pain. Dent In Thigh After Taking Medicine. No Pain, Have Tingling. Worried

I have had a bad back ache a week ago with one leg(left) paining badly. I could make out it to be a nerve issue as I had the pain running from by buttocks to the leg and was a throbbing pain. coudnt walk or stand for long as the pain returns and pain in less intensity while sitting or sleeping.Showed it to docs and they said it due to some back muscle stiffness and prescribed medicines.
On medication now but I have noticed a dent in my same leg thigh. Left thigh seems to be thinner than right.
There is no muscle loss as I rest both legs on floor, its of same size. As I raise the leg (bending over knees) left thigh seems slimmer than right. As if muscles have shrunk. with little tingling feeling. No pain. As its almost a week after medication, my leg pain has vanished and am able to walk and stand now.

Please explain the dent, am worried

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello ,

thanks for writing to us

The cause of problem is most probably due to compression of nerve because of spinal disc bulge. Nerve compression lead to radiating pain, which aggravated on long time sitting in same particular position.

Most of our patient get relif with Physiotherapy
Check your vit B12 level and vit D3 level through blood test.
you need to investigate in the form of - X ray spine and if needed, MRI spine and management accordingly
Do not worry about dent unless it is growing very fast.

for further query contact my profile directly.

Take care
