Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The shooting pain in the leg is due to the disc protrusion which is causing a nerve root compression. You need to have pain killers along with muscle relaxants for relief. Regular physiotherapy exercises will help in long term.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
