Clicking in the neck may be due to many reasons including degeneration/ spondylosis, short neck, arthritis of the cervical spine jonts due to diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and may sometimes in perfectly normal due to snapping of the ligaments/ bony parts. If not associated with any neurologic symptoms in the form of tingling or pain radiating down the neck or arms, or any motor or other sensory or bladder disturbances, then there should not be any reason to worry. An evaluation by an Spine surgeon/ Rheumatologist/ Orthopedecian should be sufficient to rule out any significant cause. An Xray would compliment the clinical examination.
