Are There Any Side Effects For Nail Fungus Treatment?

Have you heard of any serious side effects of using a nail fungus treatment. My husband has been using one for about 6 months (Fungi Nail) and is now complaining of hip pain. He has had the hip x-rayed and they find nothing wrong with the hip. He can t even walk with out extreme pain.

Hi,

Fungal infection of the nails (tinea unguium or onychomycosis) require oral antifungal agents (Itraconazole or Terbinafine) usually for months together. You have not specifically mentioned the name of oral antifungal being used. Terbinafine and Itraconazole can sometimes cause inflammation and pain in the joints but rare.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
