Are There Any Antidepressants That Don't Cause Dry Mouth Or Sexual Side Effects ?
My 17 son was started on prozac last month for depression and anxiety , he also has ADD …but we decided to try and treat the depression instead of the add as he has a bit of a heart murmur and I wasn't sure if a stimulant would make the tachycardia he gets worse…anyway heh as been having problems with salivary stone formation and reports his anxiety is worse…are their any antidepressants that don't cause dry mouth sexual side effects, he said he had problems urinating. Maybe we should try add meds? we see his doctor tomorrow any recommendations?
Most of antidepressant have sexual side effects, but antidepressant like bupropion or des-venlafaxine or agomelatine do not have sexual or dry mouth kind of side effects. You can use any of them and response them on severity of depression. If he has sleep disturbance, then i would suggest agomelatine, as it also has some sedative effect, so there is no need to take sedative with it. Rest you can discuss with his doctor.
Thanks
