Are Behavioral Changes In Children Related To Neurological Problems?

My child has just turned 3 years... She used to say few words but apparently stopped saying them now... 4 months ago she was sent to daycare and after that incident she entirely changed like crying all the time and lost all the words she used to say... She has also lost her confidence and is always in anxiety and fear... she also started display a strange behaviour with her fingers.. that is she twists her fingers whenever she is nervous or excited... could you please tell me if this is a neurological problem and also she only used to speak 8 words when she was 2 1/2 years and also had all her set of teeth until she turned 3... could this be a delay development issue....

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. You must understand the neurological process in a behavior disorder. Anxiety and phobias are behavior disorders which when studied deep has neurological connections. Anxiety and fear can change the signals sent through neurological channels and can further alter the behavior.

In this case, there should be an element of neurology. The behavior change is to be established whether gradual or sudden. The day care episode seems to be the basic for the child's behavioral problem. I suggest deep evaluation. For the time being, I suggest a clinical psychologist / child psychologist psychological / behavioral evaluation.
