Any Suggestion For Hair Loss, Appetite Loss When Having Enlarged Cervical Lymph Nodes?

I have a 16 yo son who has presented with several enlarged cervical lymph nodes greater than 3 cm. with decrease in weight from 160 lbs to 135 lbs., he has periodic n/v, no appetite. Noted hair loss, fatigue, multiple febrile episodes explained per MD as sinus infections and treated randomly with Augmentin or Zithromax, diagnosed with allergies. CBC, CMP, CXR, EBV, HIV,TB all negative. He looks ill. This is a dramatic change in appearance, behavior, energy. States he never feels good anymore, always feels cold and tired

Hi,

Thanks for writing to HCM.

This looks very much like Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Show to a surgeon for a physical examination and get an needle biopsy of the swellings...for a definitive diagnosis.

If it comes positive for it then he needs to be shown to a onco specialist.
