Any Suggestion For Child Suffering From Explosive Diarrhea?

My nine year old sometimes has exposive diarrhea when he is overheated or just outside on warm days. He has no pain and it just comes out. He is about 4 7and 67 pounds. He is not sick and has not even had a cold in almost a year. I take him to see his ped in about a week, The only thing I have been doing is giving him a 1/2 an adult amodium when i know he will be out for long periods of time from school. He then has a bowel movement about every day and a half. What could be doing this and is what i am doing safe for the short term.

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the diarrheal symptoms and not under controlled or does not comes around then it may be due to some infection and it could be mix type of infection like bacteria and protozoa and for that I would be suggest to try Ofloxacine with Ornidazole twice in a day for three days, and care needs to be taken for dehydration, ORS is the best for this, instead of giving just sodium alone hope this information helps.
