Anxiety, Diminished Sex Drive. Taking Femodette For 4 Months. Suggest Alternate Tablet Which Will Reduce Anxiety?

Hi,
I'm currently taking femodette and have been taking it for the last 4 months after going back onto the oral contraceptive after a short break.
I'm noticing I'm feeling very anxious and my sex drive seems to have diminished. I have been on many pills now but this is the first low dose pill I have been on. Could you recommend another, one that won't make me so anxious I'm border line panic attack?
Thanks

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for using healthcare magic.

I have gone through your available history.

It may be possible to have anxiety and diminished sex drive as a side effect of oral contraceptive drugs but it may happen if you are having stress and/or depression.

So, you should consult your gynecologist for detailed evaluation and to find out possible link between your drug and your anxiety. Doctor may advise you to change contraceptives.

If you are in stress, you should consult psychiatrist for detailed evaluation and management.

I hope it will help you.

Thanks.
