Am Pregnant. Have Small Bumps Under Arms, Anklets, Stomach. Itchy. Took Avil. Still Itching. Treatment?

Hi Doctor, I am 12 week pregnant. from last week I got red small bumps with very icty skin on my under arms, anklets, little on stomuch, inner thighs... My doctor has prescribed Avil 5 tablets to take daily one in the night. Even after completing 5 tablets still the itching is there. And itching will be more in early mornings.

Hi Dear

Welcome to the platform of health care magic.

As you have described the leisons. All apears to be the scabies.

Avil will help in releiving the itching only. But for its eradication some following measures to be taken.

Urgent care should be taken to avoid the infestation to spread in your family.

Daily change the clothes of the baby,

Used clothes should be boiled for at least 20 minutes. If not possible then they should be steamed iron throughly before and after washing.

Never mix with others clothes.

Bed linen should also be treated in the same manner.

Apply the scabicidal lotion like permethrin etc throughly from head to toe once a day especially in the nights sparing eyes, nose and mouth consecutively three days with out bathing so that all the infestations and there larvas are eradicated.

Exact spot diagnosis is to done by dermatologist.
