Am I Having IBS?

Sir i m in huge trouble i dont knw frm eht i m sffring but i had symptoms like ibs . Or ulcers but my doc. Donr sigmodoscopy and didnt founf ulcer but i m in it not cured i suffer from bloating and cramping but after bowel movement it goes off and some mucus is released during bowel . am constantly loosing my weight and strength . I m 17 year male.. please help m it ruled out my academics and sports. Please Thanking you

Hi,greetings from HCM..bloating and cramping pain in the abdomen can be a symptom of IBS,but it can be due to some serious problems also.Since you have undergone a sigmoidoscopy and not found ulcer you have to undergo other tests like fecal occult blood test colonoscopy and contrast ct scan of the abdomen.if all these tests are negative you may be suffering from IBS probably
