I am 82 have smoked almost all my life...I have a pain in my ankle that I attributed to a spider bite...9 years ago..I have developed a black dot in the area that now is 3...to get relief I have to soak it every day in warm water...my wife insists it is circulation and not a spider bite problem...can you please help clear up this ...she says I need to have a test to see if it is circulation..I say I need long term antibiotic...what do you think..this is only in 1 leg....many thanks..

Hi,
It seems that you might be having some vascular problem might be due to life long smoking.
Rule out diabetes as well.
Consult Vascular surgeon and get investigated.
Ok and take care.
