Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

Your child seems to have gastroenteritis which may be due to a virus.

The mainstay of treatment is to maintain her hydration.

Give sips of oral rehydration fluids like Pedialyte, coconut water, and lemon water to prevent dehydration.

Monitor hydration by her activity, urine output, and skin turgor.

Probiotics can be given to restore the gut normal flora which will help to decrease diarrhea.

Consult your Pediatrician if the motions are continuing or signs of dehydration appear for assessment and for medication.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
