3 Year Old Had A Nose Bleed Due To Injury. Foul Smell While Breathing. Need To Be Worried?

Hi about a week ago my son, 3 years old, hit his nose and made it bleed. Im mot sure how much blood came out since this happened while i was at work. But the days that followed he started having trouble bleeding through his left nostril. Now there is a bad odor coming from it every time he breads out. Should i be worried?

Bleeding from one nostril and bad odor from that nostril is a worrying symptom in children and needs physical examination by an ENT specialist immediately.

This type of odor from nostril is suggestive of some foreign body in the nostril or some growth.

Fracture of nose bones has to be ruled out by doing an X-ray.

Therefore consult an ENT specialist for the examination of nose and for an appropriate management.
