General & Family Physician, Dr. Shanthi E's Response
Hi Tinajay,
It seems like your daughter has a threatened abortion. The treatment for this is complete bed rest, avoid sexual activity and drink plenty of fluids. Progesterone is indicated sometimes to sustain the pregnancy.
Unfortunately most of the threatened abortions do end up with an inevitable abortion. If this happens in your daughter's case, I am sorry about it.
Be in close interaction with her doctor.
All the best.
