Brief Answer:
Common cold or neurological conditions may be the cause- a bit more details needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to "Ask a Doctor" service,

I carefully read your query and here is my advice.

Feeling weird and off-balance together with blurry vision and changes in voice can be caused by as common conditions as a viral infection to more important diseases such as those of the nervous system.

Some more information would be helpful so we can better evaluate you. Kindly let me know of the following:

- for how long have you had these symptoms and did they all start at the same time?
- do you have other symptoms such as fever, nose congestion, sore throat, cough, red eyes, etc?
- is there anyone else around you having similar symptoms?
- do you have any chronic condition or do you take any medications regularly (prescription or over the counter)?
- do you have now (or in the past) other neurological symptoms such as weakness or numbness in your limbs, or numbness in other areas of the body? Any difficulty to swallow (not pain)?

The symptoms you already mentioned, if associated with fever, cough, sore throat, etc, very likely a common cold is the cause of them.

In this case, you just need to make sure you do rest well, drink plenty of fluids, avoid standing up abruptly so to avoid falls and you should start to feel better in 3-4 days.

On the other hand, the presence of vision and voice changes, tingling tongue and also problems with the balance, which are not in the terrain of a viral infection, may indicate neurological conditions. These neurological conditions may vary from multiple sclerosis to brain mass and a visit with the doctor is necessary.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.

Brief Answer:
Anxiety is very likely the cause as the symptoms have started so abruptly- details below

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome back,

Thank you for the reply and the extra information provided.

Because your symptoms started so abruptly and they have been present for such a short time, very likely stress and overload is the cause. Anxiety is a very likely cause of symptoms that arise so instantly. Anxiety may cause the heart to race as well.
I would advise you to just relax and rest. Try to avoid coffee, energy drinks, or anything that may stimulate you.

If you are not any better by tomorrow or if you see that the symptoms are getting worse, it is best to see a doctor. In this case, still anxiety may be the cause but it is best to have a check and make sure. The doctor will do a thorough physical examination, including a neurological exam, to make sure all is well.

One last caution: if you also have swelling of the lips or swelling of the eyes, or you have shortness of breath or a skin rash, a severe allergic reaction can be considered. In this case, it is important to see a doctor as soon as possible.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
