Brief Answer:
Pre exposure prophylaxis with 2 yearly booster is sufficient

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
I really appreciate your concern XXXXXXX exposure prophylaxis against rabies is given as 1 ml Intramuscular or 0.1 ml intradermal injection on days 0, 7, 28.

Virus neutralising antibodies in vaccinated person should be ascertained where feasible, on one month after the third injection.
If titer comes less than 0.5 IU/ml, a booster dose is recommended until antibodies become demonstrable.

Further booster is administered at interval of 2 years, not every year as long as you are at risk of exposure.

It's scientifically proven that 2 yearly booster with complete course of pre exposure prophylaxis is sufficient to prevent you from contracting infection

Hope this answers your question
Please feel free to discuss further I will be happy to help you.
Best wishes

So sir these three vaccine are enough to keep us rabies free for 1 year as we work in high risk situation and nearly exposed daily to virus?

Sir is bat rabies also present in XXXXXXX or not?

And sir what the meaning of does not warrant treatment in medicine language?

Brief Answer:
3 initial doses with 2 yearly booster are enough

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Welcome again
It's evidence based studies which shows that 3 initial doses with 2 yearly booster dose of vaccine is enough to confer you adequate immunity even if you are handling active virus routinely

Bat rabies has not been conclusively proved in XXXXXXX

Doesn't warrant treatment means no active intervention is reaquired

Hope I have answered all your queries
Thanks for your question

Brief Answer:
Please consider these guidelines

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome again
Surely it will reduce the effect of vaccine and as such a dose is not required if you are having enough antibody titer.
At times before giving an booster dose level of antibodies are tested
If adequate antibodies are not found than only vaccine is advisable.

Hope this answers your question
