Question: Before 7 months, I was admitted in Hospital (first time in my life) due to stomach ulcer.
The history behind that is, I had always have a problem of in Ayurvedic it is called “Pitt” .There is no medical terminology for “pitt” but it is considered more or less as Acidity. The symptoms of “pitt” is mainly headach .If I do wamating then everything would be clear .Due to that there is some pain or stretching in my stoma ch, so we consulted doctor, and they ask me to do endoscopy. The result of that endoscopy is ulcer and at that time my haemoglobin was reduce to 9.0 from 14.0.

Now I m fine. No further treatment is going on ,my haemoglobin also increases .I have also joined gymnasium for body building I heard that, unsuitable exercise also increases acidity. ,however some time I feels stretching of my stomach. If it is ture can you please tell me which kind of exercise can increases the acidity as I am doing regular exercise in gymnasium.

Brief Answer:
Rigorous exercise, running continuously can results in such problems

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr XXXX,

Thank you for posting your health query on healthcaremagic.com,

I have carefully studied your question and understand your problem.

I would like to answer your question first. That is, what kind of exercises can cause gastritis?

The answer is, any exercise if done wrongly and for prolonged periods and excessively may cause gastritis.

But, this type of exercise induced gastritis is most commonly seen in long distance runners (marathon runners). And excessive aerobic exercises.

The exact mechanism is not well understood, but the studies done on this indicate that the blood flow is reduced by more than 50% to the GIT, so this ischemia may cause gastric ulcers and gastric bleeding.

Another mechanism is by increased physical stress which causes excessive acidic secretion.

So the suggestion to you is, don't overdo anything, moderate amounts exercise with adequate rest in between.

Now, I would like to inform you that there is nothing like 'pitta' that concept is unscientific and useless when it comes to dealing with your medical problems.

I hope you will not fall for pseudo scientific propaganda.

I think I have answered your question, if you have any doubts, I will be happy to help you out.

Best regards
