Brief Answer:
Will take another 2-3 weeks to walk normally

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I can understand your concern.

I have gone through your query in detail.

3 piece fracture will heal effectively in a large number of cases.

As already told by your doctor, a minor surgical procedure may be needed if at all there is non-union after 6 weeks.

Skin peeling is a not a major issue unless it is complicated by infection.

You should be able to walk normally in 2-3 weeks from now.

Please have follow-up x-rays before consulting your doctor next time.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.

Thanks a lot Doctor XXXXXXX Is it better if i go to my doctor to remove the cast after 2-3 weeks instead of going next week? in fact i am scared of even a minor surgery of fusion. Is it possible that with more period of 2 weeks of NWB period, i will be perfectly ok ?? I have ample time,no hurry.I can take rest as much as i need.

Brief Answer:
Advisable to remove cast next week as scheduled.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I can understand your concerns.

I apologize for the delayed response owing to my hectic work schedule.

Sir, it is important to get the cast removed after 1 week. This will help to assess the overall external appearance of the foot.

Also, if everything is fine, it is important that you practice walking without the cast.

You should be alright completely in 2-3 weeks as already mentioned.

Hence, to conclude it is best to remove the cast next week as advised by your doctor.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
