Brief Answer:
Calcitriol is most active form of vtamin D

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. The most effective and active form of vitamin D is calcitriol, brand name Rocaltrol. It may be given for 3 months with once daily tablet.
You may add zinc, magnesium beside vitamin B12, B6 to the medicine which you are taking for insomnia.

Hope this suffices and I shall be glad to answer any further query.
Take care

Brief Answer:
dosage as mentioned in detail below

Detailed Answer:
Hello
You are welcome
I have gone through your reply carefully and keeping in mind the vitamin D level, I have following suggestion for you-

1. XXXXXXX calcirol 60,000 once a week for 3 months, then once a month for next 9 month. This should be taken with fatty food item like a glass of milk for better absorption. You may get vitamin D level rechecked at 4 month interval.

2. As far as calcitriol is concerned this is most active form of vitamin D and does all the function of vitamin D, hence it may be taken in dose of 0.25mcg/day along with calcium for initial 2 weeks only.
The brand tablet citromacalvit (Calcium Citrate 1200mg equivalent to 252mg elemental calcium, Calcitrol 0.25mg tablet) is a good combination. This is to be taken once daily.

The vitamin D (Sachet.calcirol) taken is converted in the body to calcitriol.

Hope this answer your query.
Regards
