I have read through your query in detail.

Serum bilirubin is investigated as total, direct and indirect. The reference range of total bilirubin is 0.2-1.2 mg/dL. The reference range of direct bilirubin is 0.1-0.4 mg/dL. However some laboratories also have 1.4 mg/ dL/. If your total serum bilirubin is 1.5 mg/ dL then you might have a borderline elevated serum bilirubin. If this is without any symptoms there it is not a concern.

SGPT (serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase) or ALT test is a liver enzyme level which is measured in the blood. It reflects mainly liver functions and its normal range is 20-60 units. This is normal for you.

SGOT (serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase) or AST test is a liver enzyme level which is measured in the blood. It reflects mainly liver functions and its normal range is 5 to 40 units. This is normal for you.

No symptoms and I jog daily for 6-7kms and have had my Total Bilirubin at 1.2-1.3 range.
Direct reading for me is 0.3.

Since I am very particular on my lifestyle and dont drink alcohol at all. Thus was thinkng what else to do to get the reading withing normal range.
All other tests including Lipid and others are normal.

Its good that you take your health seriously and have been following a regular routine concerning foods and lifestyle. In that case an occasional total bilirubin of 1.5 mg/ dL is not something to get worried about. It is possible that the laboratory where the test was done slightly overestimated your levels. A 10 percent error on laboratory results is acceptable and need not necessarily mean your levels are high.

Even considering the levels are slightly high, for peace of mind you can get an ultrasound scan abdomen done to re confirm that there is no obstruction in your biliary system.

Since it is at borderline levels, nothing needs to be done considering the above explanations for your test results.

Rarely a condition in the liver or gall bladder like stones might be present without any symptoms and then cause raised bilirubin and doing a scan will clear things further.
