Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry about that.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

Your wife may have thallasemia minor. If you don't have thallasemia minor then nothing to worry. she can conceive and there is no harm.

No treatment is required for thallasemia minor. No any specific food item is required. As such iron has no role in thallasemia treatment but if she has associated iron deficiency then iron treatment is helpful. Folic acid is required in thallasemia minor.

So continue your iron folic acid treatment accordingly to advice. Your baby may have thallasemia minor. But thallasemia minor people can live normal healthy life. Don't worry about it.

For confirmation genetic study is required.

Hope I have answered your question. if you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic.
