What Does My Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?

Question: .8mm lesion in right breast. been there unchanged for five years. mammogram and ultrasound in October because of cysts. 3d mammogram , ultrasound, mri this week. lesion same size but fuzzy edges. biopsy tomorrow. question is do you think this has become invasive cancer in this short of time after being unchanged for five years. I am scared. it is at 9 oclock location on right side. lcm thick

A cancer is characterized by rapid division. Therefore, had there been a cancer, the lesion would have shown a rapid increase in size. If the size remains unaltered, you need not worry. It is only if it ever starts growing rapidly in size that you need to grow concerned and seek medical assistance.

just so I am clear on this do the fuzzy edges shown on mri after spot had regular edges for five years and the spot same size does not mean cancer. in your opinion. thank you for answering first question.

If it is cancerous, its size will definitely not remain same over 5 years. So, you do not need to worry. Worry only if it suddenly starts increasing in size.
