What Does My Test Results For Immature Granulocytes Indicate?

Posted on Tue, 25 Nov 2014
Question: Just recently did blood work up and saw a test for immature granulocytes. My score was 0.4. Is this high and if so could this be elevated because I had had a very bad case of contact dermitis both legs and arms, which is now gone after being prescribed and ANTIFUGAL corticosteroid cream. What does this test test for as well. THANK YOU

Brief Answer:
You may have mild infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have immature granulocytes. Your immature granulocytes count is not very high. It can be seen in infection. Your dermatitis has no relation with it.
You will probably need a course of antibiotics.
Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic.
Wish you a very good health.

THANK YOU. I HAD A BLADDER INFECTION A WHILE BACK TOOK ANTIBIOTICS. COULD THIS BE MAYBE A RESIDUAL FROM THAT INFECTION, EVEN THOUGH I AM SYMPTOM FREE OF A BLADDER INFECTION NOW. MY URINE TWO MONTHS AGO DID HOWEVER SHOW TRACE FOR BACTERIA, BUT I WAS NOT TOLD RESUME ANTIBIOTICS. COULD THIS BE IT. THANK YOU AGAIN

Thank you. I had a bladder infection a couple of months ago took appropriate antibiotics. Did urine test a few weeks later as part of annual physical the urine showed trace bacteria but no antibiotics were suggested. Even though I am not having any symptoms of a bladder infection could this be what is showing in the blood test? Thank you again.

HAVE SENT TWO REPLYS WITH A QUESTION TO THE RESPONSE BUT STILL HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM DR. SANGHVI. THANK YOU

Brief Answer:
You may have other infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear.
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You may have some other infection. You don't have any symptoms of bladder infection so chances of residual infection is very low.
Few bacteria in urine are normally present. So your urine findings are not significant.
Please send me your reports of complete blood count and your symptoms. So I can help you further.
Thanks for using health care magic.
Wish you a very good health.
