Question: The tip of my conus medullaris has been found to be behind my L 1 vertebrae. I am significant pain. What does this mean?

Conus medularis is the end of spinal cord, the rest is nerve roots.

Conus medularis ends in L1 and L2 level in the majority of people, so, in your case doesn't mean nothing.

Pain is a symptom usually found in compression of neural structures ( nerves and spinal cord ) and causes may be degerative spinal disease, herniated disc disease etc.
