Question: Hello Doctor,
I've am married three year before & expecting baby now , but two day before I’ve done my semen testing which shows two problem with highlight as
1. Liquefaction time more than 1hr &
2. Motility at end of 3 hrs is 55% which need to be more than 60%
All other factors are in range , like count 120 milli/ml, Viable live count 65%, more than 60% show grade 3 & 4 moving forward etc.
Does this mean :-
1, I have Infection . 2.Hypofunction of the prostate / seminal vesicles or
3. High levels of seminal leukocytes
Can we conclude reason for delay Liquefaction out of this from report?
If infection is reason is there any medicine for cure it ?
If Hypofunction of the prostate or seminal vesicles , then can it curable ?
My wife have high body-heat issue , so does my delay Liquefaction & her high body-heat create issue for pregnancy ?
Please guide.

Brief Answer:
Rule our urinary tract infection, infection of prostate, repeat semen analysis after month

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to HCM
I have gone through your query and report.

Increased liquification time usually seen in infection. We should rule out urinary tract infection or infection of prostate.

Presently I would suggest for urine routine examination and per rectal examination ( to rule out enlarged prostate).

In case, there is sign of any infection I would have given you a course of antibiotics, along with it I would suggest you drink plenty of water, avoid alcohol and smoking.

I would have asked you to repeat the semen analysis after month of treatment with three to four days of abstinence. You are fine, I don't think you should worry.

Hope this helps.
Take care.

Hello Doctor,
Thank you for guidance since you have clear my worries.

I never drink & smoke, not even eat non-vegetarian.
But you are correct since, I usually drink less amount of water. Approximately 1.5 lit/day. I am going to drink more water from this month onward & will do semen testing in next month.

Meanwhile please suggest me course of antibiotics for control infection.

A query, while taking your suggested course of antibiotics can we try for conceive baby ..or.. intake of antibiotics will create issue? Please guide.

Once again thank you for clear worries.
