Brief Answer:
Mild kidney problems and enlarged prostate

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Your kidneys might be showing mild signs of abnormal function. This is seen as increased echogenicity and raised serum creratinine. It is best you consult a nephrologist (kidney specialist) and take an opinion if not taken already.

NEFROSAVE tab: n-acetylcysteine 150 mg, taurine 500 mg is a kidney protector and will improve you kidney functions.

You have a mildly enlarged prostate measuring approximately 31 grams. Urimax (Tamsulosoin) is a medicine which reduces prostate enlargement. This may need an urologist consultation.

My suggestion is to follow up with your doctors and take treatment for any other condition like high blood pressure or diabetes. You must also start taking a renal diet which is recommended for those having slightly abnormal kidney functions. You may get your ultrasound repeated after 3 to 6 months.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek

Please find details given below

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr.XXXX
Thanks for writing back with an update.

The problem with your kidneys needs to be assessed with other conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure if you them as well. Usually creatinine can be controlled in 6 months to a year but this depends a lot on the condition which you have. This can only be known by various tests. Please do ask your doctor about diet to be taken and fluid intake.

The enlarged prostate is a common condition in elderly and you have only mild prostate enlargement. I did not find any pre void or post void (urine volumes in your ultrasound report mentioned by you. This is important to know because it is not clear to what extent the prostate is causing obstruction to passage of urine. Please tell your radiologist doctor to measure "POST VOID" urine next time. With prostate enlargement of 31 grams, there should not be much difficulty and the medicine should work in 3 months time. Also please get PSA blood test done if you have not got it done earlier.

Regarding doctors in Pitampura, I am sorry that since I am from XXXXXXX I will not be able to specifically tell about good doctors in your location. However, Sir Gangaram hospital in Rajinder XXXXXXX is supposed to have good doctors and I guess it is within 9 kilometres from your place.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
