Hi and thank you so much for this equerry.

I am so sorry to hear about this test result and the disturbing thoughts this has caused you. The relative numbers alone would not be very helpful. Can you please upload the result sheet or at least provide what the total WBC count numbers were?

Brief Answer:
Please, these numbers are not too concerning. Monitor!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

With a total of 10.77 WBC, there is really nothing to be too worried about at this time. I know the split between lymphocytes and Neutrophil is out of proportion but not suggestive of a specific problem related to WBC. Neutrophils generally increase in Bacteria infections and may be the explanation here.

I do not even recommend that you control this again in future unless something else comes up. Please, stay calm and relaxed knowing there is nothing too worrisome about these numbers.

What are you stressed about? Would you want to share that with me so that we may try addressing this together?

I wish you well and always willing to address any further concerns that you may have.

I have to have a big surgery where all my ometum is in my chest cavity that will take 6 hrs. I have never been put to sleep for that kind of time, I feel terrible short of breath nauseas and cant sleep well due to chest and back pain. I have a Morgangi Hernia I am just worried and have been . The blood test was so I could get my surgery done. I was sick pretty sick actually just worried my immune system isn't working properly. All numbers were great in Nov. when hernia was found, I am worrying constantly I know this doesn't help. My lung is compressed is this causing my back pain?

Brief Answer:
The omentum in the chest could be responsible for this!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Your feeling and reaction leading up to surgery are totally understandable. Even physicians would react in the same way as you if they were to undergo such a procedure. What I can assure you is that no doctor or anesthetist would put you to sleep knowing that it is not the best procedure for you and that you would not be able to go through. Chances that you would go through safely and recover are higher than not.

Yes, the pain could be related to the compressed lungs. Pain is often projected to other parts of the body and this is the most likely explanation for yours.

Your immune system is strong enough. With 11000WBC, that is well in the upper limit of normal. There is no reason to get worried about these numbers right now.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to get back to me as need be. When is your surgery scheduled o take place? I wish you a vey safe procedure and a quick recovery.
