What Does My X-ray Test Results Indicate?

Question: I had a normal spirometry but chest x-ray says mildly hyperexpanded with some flattening of the hemidiaphragms suggestive of COPD. How concerned should I be? The doctor was rather alarming. Pulse oximaetry usually runs around 96-99%. No shortness of breath.

Hi and welcome.
YOu dont need to be concerned since spirometry is more specific test for COPD compared to xrays and if this is fine then your lung function is more then adequate. Mild hypexpansion may be just sign of postitioning during xrays record and even if this is seen,this is not sign of clinically significant COPD.

The readings were: FVC 119%Pred, FEV1 128%, FEV1/FVC 106%, PEF 105%, FEF2575 131%, FEF25 97% (Is that ok?), FEF50 102%, FEF75 158%, FEV3 146%, FET 49% (Is that ok?)
