Brief Answer:
Please share MRI report

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir

welcome to healthcaremagic

I would request you to please share the MRI report. Only if we see the report we can know the exact level and extent of lesion and only with that we can decide on treatment options

then only we can give an opinion whether steroids are advisable or not

expecting the report

Brief Answer:
It is best to opt for surgery now itself so that the complications are less

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir

Welcome Back to HealthCareMagic.com I am Dr.J XXXXXXX Anto Bruno Mascarenhas. I have gone through the reports with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help you.

As per the Reports, your brother has Lumbar Spondylosis with Compression of Nerve Roots and Annular Tear
This condition will eventually require surgery.

Even if you are giving epidural injection, it is temporary pain relief only. It is not going to alter the disease process and your brother will eventually need surgery

Hence It is best to opt for surgery now itself so that the complications are less and recovery is good

Hope you found the answer helpful.

If you need any clarification / have doubts / have additional questions / have follow up questions, then please do not hesitate in asking again. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Best Wishes for Speedy Recovery
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
Steroid have lot of side effects

Detailed Answer:
dear sir

steroids have lots of side effects

but
if that steroid is going to cure the problem, we can take steroids as the benefits will be more as surgery can be avoided

but
in this case
eventually you need surgery

so
why should we take steroids and get side effects or steroids and then again operate

it is always better to go directly to surgery
