Question: ECG 12sl interpretation. Normal sinus rhythm. Left ventricular hypertrophy with repolarization abnormality. What it means to me. What shud I do

I am 60 years of age. I am hypertensive. I am not sure whether I could be called diabetic. Yesterday's tests reveal a slight overboard of glucose levels. I do not experience any chest pain

Hello, Sir.

I can certainly understand your concerns.

The ECF showing left ventricular hypertrophy, which means -there is overload on the heart secondary to longstanding hypertension.

Repolarization abnormalities are usually associated with such a hypertrophy.

All you currently need is to control your BP to normal limits using drugs which can also reverse left ventricular hypertrophy.

I generally prescribe oral pills of LOSARTAN with or without METOPROLOL to improve heart function and reduce hypertrophy.

Please check with your Cardiologist if he shares my view and if can prescribe them to you.
