What Does My CT Scan Report Indicate?

I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.
I have seen your grandmother's NCCT Head report attached here.It shows nothing except cerebral atrophy which is a normal finding in elderly persons.It is seen in almost all elderly persons and so is explainable at 72-years of age.
Surely,Diabetes and Hypertension are risk factors for stroke and needs to be controlled well to prevent future strokes.In present case,NCCT Head does not confirm to the findings of stroke.Please tell a few details,so that I can answer your query well further-
1)How many days back she had paralysis?
2)Does it involve upper and lower extremities,both or one of them.
3)Paralysis is on which side?
4)Does it involve facial deviation also?
5)Is she able to understand and respond to commands well.Is she speaking well?
The answers to these queries,is to confirm the clinical diagnosis of stroke.Clinically stroke usually presents with a normal CT scan if CT is done within 24 hours of the onset of stroke.So,if this CT was done within 24 hours,a 'Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) of Brain with Diffusion study' is needed to confirm stroke.
If confirmed,she needs to be put on antiplatelet drugs like ecosprin and statins like atorvastatin.MEDICINES SHOULD BE TAKEN UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF A PHYSICIAN.
Diabetes and Hypertension should be in excellent control as if these are not controlled,she may have recurrent strokes in future too.Regular Physiotherapy is crucial for limb function recovery.

Ans 1- according to dr, she hd a paralysis attack on nearby 21st feb as per some symptoms told by d patient.
Ans 2- its involves both...as both hands nd legs are shivering.
Ans 3- right side of d body
Ans 4- as facial deviation is nt very much visible bt she is nt able to eat properly
Ans 5- she is speaking properly nd able to understand nd respond to commands well
