What Does "minor Inferior Repolanization Disturbance" Indicate?

Question: I am a 62, female in good health. had an ekg, reported as normal but I noticed it said minor inferior repolanization disturbance and to consider ischemia. Should I see a cardiologist?

Brief Answer: If you have symptoms then go for investigation. Detailed Answer: Hello XXXX Thanks for writing to HCM Your ECG results indicate repolarisation abnormality. Generally it is of no significance but if you have any symptoms such as chest pain,breathlessness etc then you need further evaluation. However,to rule out any abnormal change in the heart,I suggest to do the cardiac echo and stress test ECG.This is necessary due to your age. Early repolarization is not XXXXXXX it is a benign ECG finding that reflects how your heart resets itself after an electrical event (which precedes the mechanical event of contraction ).
