Brief Answer:
HbA1c just into prediabetic range

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Blood sugars can either be (1) normal (2) in the prediabetic range- at risk of becoming a diabetic (3) diabetic

Diabetes can be diagnosed with fasting blood sugars, 2 hour post meal sugars, HbA1C.

A normal HbA1c is less than 5.6 , prediabetic 5.6 to 6.4 and diabetes- greater than 6.5

Your HbA1C is in the prediabetic range, just stepped into the prediabetic range. This means that there is an increased risk of diabetes.
Lifestyle changes can put off diabetes. This would mean loss of any excess weight by diet and exercise.
A low carb diet, since it would directly affect blood sugars, may be the best option.

In terms of fasting blood sugars- prediabetic is 100 to 126 and diabetic is greater than 126

2 hour post meal- prediabetic 140 to 199 and diabetic greater than 200.

In some cases, only one of the measures to check for diabetes goes up before the others, in your case there is only a small increase in HbAic and this is not yet reflected in the blood sugars.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
