What Does "echopattern Of Liver Is Coarse" Mean?
Question: Ultrasound report says echopattern of liver is coarse. spleen mildly enlarged. gallbladder has calculi 3-4 mm. I am diabetic. Blood sugar fasting 271 mg. P.P. 321 mg. despite of medicine. Age 52. Kindly advise me.

The gall bladder shows presence of stone measuring 3 mm in size.
The treatment for gall stones is removal of gall stone with the stones.
The splenic enlargement is caused by number of causes like obstruction of splenic vein, hematological disorders, infiltrative disorders, storage diseases etc.
The cause of splenic enlargement has to be found out.
The blood glucose levels are quite high - both fasting and postprandial ,thus, you need to consult your treating doctor for review of drugs, its dosage.
Diet should be managed and regular exercise is required.

NOTHING HAS BEEN SAID ABOUT ECHO PATTERN OF LIVER. WHETHER IT WILL BE NORMAL AFTER REMOVAL OF GALL STONES?

Gall stone removal will not reverse the fatty change.
Instead fatty change has to be reversed
If you are taking alcohol then avoid it completely.
Other causes of fatty liver are diabetes mellitus, obesity, malnutrition, starvation to name a few conditions.
