Detailed Answer:
Hi
Dr. Purushottam welcomes you to HCM virtual clinic!
Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully gone through your query, and I think I have understood your concern. I will try to address your medical concerns and would suggest you the best of the available treatment options.

1.First of all do not panic.

2. I suppose you had your last period around 3rd of September and you were expecting it again on 3rd of October.

3.As you might be aware that, in a woman with regular cycles, day 10 to 20 of the cycle is the most fertile period of the cycle. In your case it will be between 12 to 22 September.

4. If you happen to have unprotected sex act on 17th September, it would be in the fertile period.

5. If I was your treating doctor, I would suggest you to get morning's first sample of urine tested for pregnancy.
Even if you have mentioned in your query that you are not willing to do pregnancy test, unless pregnancy is ruled out, medically a doctor won't be able to offer you medicines to get your periods.

6. If your pregnancy test is negative I will suggest you a course of progesterone tablets. This will help you to induce your period. Your treating doctor can guide eou further about the doses and withdrawal bleeding of the same.

7. As you might be aware that if a woman is pregnant, periods can not be induced with any tablets , but she needs to opt for termination of pregnancy with medicines under medical supervision.
Hence, at least home urine pregnancy tests, is at least necessary. It is completely safe, easy to do, maintains privacy and test kit is available over the counter.

I hope this answer was helpful to you!

Brief Answer:
You can simply wait, if sure about protection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Thanks for appreciating the answer and reverting back.

If you are sure that proper use of contraceptive like condom was there then you can wait for the onset of periods.

As even if try and use any progesterone tablets , you need to take 3 to 5 days course and wait for 3 to 7 days for withdrawal bleeding.

You can choose any of the options.

I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Tablets to be taken twice a day for 5 days. It is for inducing the periods.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Thanks for appreciating the answer and reverting back.

In situations when the menstrual period is prolonged in absence of pregnancy, the progesterone hormone helps to induce the periods.

It is this hormone which is produced in second half of the cycle.

If you want to take Tab Dubagest SR 200 mg , ( Natural micronized progesterone)which you have bought; you can take it twice a day for 5 days. Then you need to wait for 3 to 7 days for withdrawal bleeding to occur.

I hope this answer explains your both queries.
Thanks.
