Brief Answer:
could be a lymph node or infected sebaceous cyst

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr. XXXXXXX

Welcome again to HealthcareMagic.

You seem to be having either an infected sebaceous cyst or a lymph node, as per the description of you and your doctors.

I would suggest that you complete the course of antibiotics prescribed to you. If the swelling still persists, you show it to a surgeon for its excision and pathological examination.

Hope i have been helpful.

Dr. Ashish Verma

Brief Answer:
unlikely to be a neurofibroma

Detailed Answer:
Sir,

A swelling with redness arround is mostly an inflammatory/infected swelling and these are benign swellings. Carcinoma rarely present in this manner.

If it doesn't subsides, get it removed, and sent it to pathologist, they will tell you what exactly it is - benign or malignant, so that further treatment (if necessary) can be done.

Neurofibromas don't have redness around them.

Dr. Ashish Verma
