Brief Answer:
She should be investigated.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
As the swelling is not XXXXXXX and family history is positive, she should be investigated.
As the swelling is palpable, I would prefer FNAC (Fine needle aspiration cytology )first. It gives a clue whether the swelling is benign or malignant. If it is inconclusive, I remove the entire swelling surgically and send for histopathological examination (Biopsy).Further treatment depends on the Biopsy report.
I would like her to investigate soon.I don't prefer her to wait till February.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish her good health.
Regards

One factor which is favorable is her age. Chances of Cancer at the age of 35 is quite less. But, she should be investigated.
