What Does A Blistering Rash On Torso Indicate?

Question: Im an adult male 64 yrs. I started developing a blistering type rash on my torso Left side around to the back. surface skin pain, little blisters Just starting to appear. Suspect Shingles, unknown origin I don,t remember ever being near Chicken pox while growning up
