Brief Answer:
These may be the symptoms of absolute insulin deficiency.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your question.
Noted your concern.

You have been started on oral antidiabetic medications considering diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes.

But your symptoms of vomiting, abdominal discomfort may be due to -
- Absolute insulin deficiency (Type 1 Diabetes or LADA- Latent Autoimmune Diabetes of Adult).
- Side effects of medicines.
- Some other associated disease.

In such case I may suggest -
- Detailed physical examination and history taking including Body mass index calculation and signs of insulin resistance.
- Investigations like
Complete Blood Count.
Renal function Test.
Liver Function Test.
Urine examination including for urine ketone (which help in deciding Absolute insulin deficiency).
Blood ketone and blood gas levels if urine ketone present.

Depending upon all above appropriate diagnosis can be made and accordingly treatment can be planned.

You should immediately consult your treating diabetologist and discuss your symptoms.

Hope this helps you.

Regards,
Dr. Abhay Mali.
